Useful information

We can offer discount rates to single people or couples at certain times of year or for rentals of more than three weeks. Likewise to clients who wish to re book for the following year at the time of their current rental period.

Babies and children are always welcome. Each of our houses has a cot, high chair and baby bath, should they be required.

Fresh bed linen, bath & hand towels are provided on a weekly basis for holiday house rentals of more than two weeks.

Please note: Unless you have a Spanish telephone you must use the 0034 prefix when calling us.

RISK OF FIRE

PLEASE TREAT THE CAMPO WITH RESPECT, FIRES ARE EASILY STARTED BUT ARE DIFFICULT TO PUT OUT.

No smoking in our houses please, though you may feel free to do so on the terraces where ashtrays are provided.

Beach and Pool towels are not provided and we respectfully request that guests to bring their own.

Water is at a premium in Southern Spain. Please use it sparingly.

Recent additions in Solano

Two new amenities have recently arrived in Solano. One is the typically Spanish "Bar Solano" located in the old Chapel house, the other is the exquisite "Tapa Luz" restaurant, both only a short walk away from La Mesita & La Vieja. For a gourmet evening at Tapa Luz one must book 24 hours in advance. Information on how to do so is available in our houses or visit www.tapaluz.com.

Health concerns

For guests of La Mesita & La Vieja, Colmenar has a 24 hour medical center should you require this service.

For guests of Huerta Baja, the nearest medical center in is Banamargosa.

If hospital treatment is required the medical center will advise. You will receive free medical treatment on production of a current E111 card.

Golf

There are innumerable golf courses along the Costa del Sol, all of which are of the highest standard and attract all level of players. The 18 hole Baviera Golf course is the nearest to our holiday houses. Located between Velez Malaga and Torre de Mar, Baviera Golf is approximately a 45 minute drive from all of our rental properties. Membership is not required. Details of how to get there can be provided upon request.

Skiing

Skiing is available in The Sierra Nevada. Close to Granada, approx 1½ hours drive. There you will find a comprehensive selection of pistes to suite all levels. Included is a ski school, equipment hire, snow boarding plus hotels, shops, bars and restaurants.

Car hire

Most airlines offer car hire facilities at the time of making flight arrangements. There are many Car Hire companies operating out of Malaga airport. If you wish to book your car privately, we recommend:

Ferias & Fiestas

Throughout the year every village, town and city has its Fiestas and Feria celebrations, with modern music as well as traditional Verdiales & Flamenco. In July and August local swimming pools are open to the public. More detailed information is available in our houses.
