House Huerta Baja

This lovingly restored house is ideal for a romantic holiday break. Fully equipped, the house can accommodate up to four persons but is most suitable for two, or a couple with a small child.

Available all year round, the house boasts a Hot Tub/Jacuzzi from May to October (or on request at other times) on it’s sunny south facing roof terrace. From this delightful vantage point one has spectacular views of the mountains and river valley all the way to the Mediterranean coast at Torre del Mar.

Rural Accommodation at its Best

Huerta Bajas location provides for all day sun. It also has an enclosed patio/courtyard, offering cooling shade and privacy.

Situated in the tiny hamlet of La Alqueria, five minutes from the hill top town of Comares, ‘Huerta Baja’ in Spanish means, ‘sunken garden’.

One approaches this holiday house through a mature olive grove, and to the right can be seen the huerta baja itself, verdant with Orange, Lemon and Avocado trees as well as several towering Banana trees. There is an ancient spring which flows all year round and guests are encouraged to enjoy the cool clear water.

Local Fruit and Vegetables

Guests at Huerta Baja may place orders for organic vegetables from our private garden; season depending. We also offer free-range duck eggs and organic honey, to order. Likewise organic olive oil and many other locally farmed products are available.

The neighbours of Huerta Baja, Candelaria and Jose Manuel can also provide free range hens eggs and they make up presentation packs of their sun dried Figs and Muscatel grapes, known locally as Pasas.
